This original 16"x20" acrylic on canvas is inspired by the American artist Jean-Michel Basquait. Basquait was of Haitian and Puerto Rican descent, and first achieved fame in New York City with his graffiti and Neo-expressionist paintings. He used his work as a tool to bring to light various topics going on in society at that time. This piece uses references from the issues going on in society in 2020.
